What is a Glueless Full Lace Wig?

A glueless full lace wig is one that attaches to your head and can be secured without needing the help of wig glue or tape.

They tend to be entirely hand knotted for a more natural look.

People who wear wigs to switch up their look and do not wear them for extended periods of time are more likely to use these wigs.

They are quick and easy to apply and remove, making it no hassle at all to switch up your hair for a few hours.

They are also highly useful for people with many allergies.

Those who have a reaction to adhesives but still wish to wear wigs will often opt for these wig styles.

What does full lace mean?

This refers to the style of wig cap that is found underneath the hairs. They are often from a Swiss lace which is very soft. This is layered on top of a section of stretchy material, such as elastic or mesh. This section is located in the middle of the wig cap to allow for maximum usability.

You can also purchase silk top glueless lace wigs. These are fairly similar in design, but the addition of the silk creates a very natural looking scalp. These kinds of wigs are generally regarded as the least detectable when being worn.

How do glueless wigs stay on your head?

These wigs will come with an adjustable strap at the base of the cap. This will allow you to adjust the tightness of the wig cap on your head for a secure and comfortable fit.

The wigs will also feature small combs at the sides and around the edges of the cap. These are designed to allow you to clip the wig to your natural hair and hold it in place.

Some wigs do not have these combs but may have a stretchy mesh or silk layer around the crown. This will provide a more secure fit.

They will often feature a ribbon that runs across the front of the hairline. This again is to improve the fit of the wig without the need for glue.

What are the benefits of glueless wigs?

The absence of glue means that even if you remove the wig improperly, the risk of damage to your natural hair is unlikely. This serves to protect your natural hairline and protect it from any disfigurement.

They are much easier to remove, meaning that they can be taken off daily. This allows for regular care of your natural hair and scalp.

They are also easy to put on. If you do not have much experience with wig wearing, then glueless wigs are much easier to apply and wear.

What are the downsides to glueless wigs?

There are not that many options for switching up the style of these wigs.

You cannot put them into high ponytails or other top-heavy styles. They are only really capable of being loosely braided, worn loose, or in mid ponytails.

What are the benefits of wearing full lace wigs?

Full lace wigs disguise your natural hair pattern extremely well. This makes them the ideal type of wig cap for people suffering from thinning hair, hair loss, or incredibly short hairs.

Full lace caps allow versatility in terms of styling. These caps are suitable for wearing with almost all hair styles without damage to the wig being incurred.

You can get full lace wigs in almost all colors, textures, and styles of hair. These include both real human and synthetic hair fibers.

They are very easy to wear and are almost undetectable to the human eye. They are also incredibly comfortable to wear, provided you buy a high quality wig.

Full lace wigs are perfect for creating a natural looking hairline. They feature baby hairs all around the outer edge of the wig. This adds to the natural look.

What are the downsides to full lace wigs?

While they are easy to wear, application is a process that you need to learn to get the hang of.

Many people will struggle with the application of their wig the first few times and it is likely to take a fair amount of practice to master the method.

If you attach the wig incorrectly, you could potentially cause damage to your natural hairline.

How to wear a glueless full lace wig

You should position your wig with the combs on the inside and the adjustable strap at the back.

We recommend placing your hair into tight braids or pinwheels. To do pinwheels, section your hair into 3 or 5 pieces, depending on how thick your hair is.

Twist one section at a time and then create spirals that are flat to your skull. The goal is to flatten the volume of your hair as much as possible. Pin into place with hair grips and repeat until all of your hair is secured.

Clean all around your hairline with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol. This is to remove any oil and dirt that may be around your face and neck.

We suggest loosely braiding the hair on the wig or securing in a loose ponytail. This will prevent it from getting in the way during wig application.

Place the wig on your head and position it as desired. Secure into place using the small combs at the sides of the wig cap. If the cap feels too loose, tighten the adjustable strap at the back. The wig cap should be tight, but not painful.

Cut away any excess lace from around the hairline of your wig. Take great care not to cut any of the baby hairs that are attached to the wig. You can even cut in some more baby hairs if this is the look that you are going for.

Take the hair on the wig out of the braid or ponytail when you are happy with the fit and positioning. Style in any way that you like.
